A “Guiness Book of World Records” Inauguration in Moscow, Russia
I am so excited to take part in the unique inauguration of the 5,737-pipe Muhleisen Organ (Strasbourg, France) at the spectacular, new Zaryadye Concert Hall in the center of Moscow! 23 of the world’s leading organists have been invited to perform each an hour-long recital within the context of a 24-hour non-stop marathon of concerts – the first time such an event would ever take place in a concert hall. Representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records will be in attendance to witness the new record, and up to 20,000 people are anticipated to attend. My program, scheduled at the heart of these festivities at 2pm, will feature works by Rachmaninoff, Mendelssohn, Wagner, and Widor.
