A Tale of Two Halls: The Berlin Philharmonie and the Elbphilharmonie

May 1, 2018

I’m thrilled to announce several upcoming concerts in two of the most venerated concert halls in the world.  I’ll return to the Berlin Philharmonie to perform an organ recital with both solo and ensemble works with members of the Karajan Academie.  The program will culminate in a performance of the Kammermusik VII of Paul Hindemith, joined by members of the Berlin Philharmonie.  I also look forward to performing with the Berlin Philharmonie Brass for the “Tag der Offene Tür” (Open House Day) for the opening ceremonies, a small organ recital in the main hall, and a second demonstration recital in Musikinstrumente-Museum (Museum of Historic Instruments) on its collection of historic organs.   After a performance for the Dresden Musikfestspiele in the Freiberg Dom on its famous 1714 Silbermann Organ, I’ll travel to Hamburg to perform in the glittering Elbphilharmonie on their new Klais organ in a largely symphonic program!
