2018 Organ Historical Society (OHS) Convention a success!
August 10, 2018
With over 420 people in attendance, 37 historic pipe organs spanning 250 years of organbuilding, 34 performances, three lectures, various tours, and even a wine tasting, the 63rd Annual National Convention of the Organ Historical Society (OHS) was a huge success. It was an honor to co-chair this convention alongside my incomparable co-chair Myles Boothroyd, without whom designed this massive, complex event would have been impossible! Immense congratulations are due to all of the talented artists for their exceptional and creative programs, allowing each organ to speak so eloquently to us. And thank you to the organ technicians (particularly the Parsons Organ Builders of Bristol, New York), the historians, the many volunteers, and of course, the membership of the OHS, who all made this possible! Thank you!
