Nathan Laube named first “Organist in Residence” at St. Bavo in Haarlem, NL

April 20, 2017

It is with great excitement that I have accepted the invitation to be the first “Organist in Residence” for the summer of 2017 at the celebrated 1738 Christiaan Müller Organ at St. Bavo in Haarlem, the Netherlands.  After the unforgettable experience of performing there for the first time in June 2016, I look forward with great anticipation to this summer’s three performances. I will open the season of Municipal Organ Recitals on May 3, and further performances will take place on August 15 and 22.  This announcement parallels the closure of a most distinguished tenure of Joos van der Kooy as municipal organist, to whom we all owe a debt of gratitude for his advocacy for the Müller organ, his generosity, and of course his musicianship!
